Lee Killeen: With A Vengeance

Little idea (Feel free to join in)

Thought about famous comic characters in the purest form. For example let’s take Spider-Man.

In essence. Peter Parker, teenage kid, good at science, lives with his aunt and uncle who is killed through Peter’s failure to stop the killer in the first instance he meets him…..or something

But anyway the points are

Teenager

Nerdy, Geeky, shy retiring type

Gains Radioactive powers of a spider (kinda)

Has a beef with criminals

Needs to keep a secret identity, so would need a way of hiding his face

Costume would need to allow for maximum movement due to love of swinging from tall buildings with webbing he shoots from his wristy things he makes (cos he’s such a wizzard scientist) 

SO that would be a brief, (Remember, we have never seen the blue and red Spider-Man we all know and….Love?) I/You would then, try your hand at re-imagining this character, for want of a better word.

So you don’t have to go along the lines they actually went down in Marvel, let’s imagine some guy came to you as a comic artist and wanted you to design this guy.

That’s my idea in a nutshell 

Gonna try it with a few characters from all over the place, just pick a character you like, strip them down to their original defining characteristics, then take that as a brief and re-design em.

Could be fun! Who knows lol

UPDATE!

Hello one and all, here is an update on what I am currently doing

1. Working my arse off on Kaiju Steel #2 for Japan Comic Aid

2. Working my arse off in a hotel for extra monies

3. Coming up with some new characters whilst working in the hotel

4. Formulating a plan to make more money from art so I can quit my job in the hotel

5. Failing miserably at being a blogger

So that’s kinda what I am doing right now. Once I get this comic out the way I will get back to my own comic pieces and illustration work. I won’t lie, I can’t wait to get on with my own work. I am running into a brick wall of interest with what I am currently drawing. (it happens I know but you gotta just push through it and get it done)

Well it’s getting colder and darker and so I best get back on with this. Only on page 12! I need to get a shift on but it’s hard, lots of detail lack of time!
